On May 21st - 23rd, thousands of electronic music fans poured into the gates of the Seismic Dance Event in Austin, Texas, for a long-overdue dance-a-thon. For good reason, too, as Seismic 2021 was one of the very first music festivals to commence since the pandemic.
Tension was high leading up to the event as bad weather was predicted on all three days of Seismic. Fortunately, the festival gods spared two of the days and only one day (Saturday) was affected. Despite, the closure of the main festival on Saturday, curators behind Seismic at RealMusic Events coordinated shows to take place at local venues throughout the city featuring artists such as Bob Moses, Walker & Royce, The Martinez Brothers, and more.
Artists that did get to play on the main stages of Seismic included ZHU, Sacha Robotti, DeepDish (Sharam + Dubfire), Paco Osuna, Deborah Deluca, VNSSA, Kevin Knapp, John Summit, WestEnd, Lee Foss, Claude VonStroke, and many more. The event also featured late-night shows on-site with the likes of Nicole Moudaber and others. Despite some bad weather and cancellations, the Seismic 2021 lineup still turned out pretty damn good.
