North Coast Music Festival returns to Chicago’s Union Park this Labor Day weekend. Now in its 8th year, NCMF has consistently featured a diverse range of stacked music and eye-popping street art in a fun and urban environment. While you don’t want to miss all the action inside the festival gates, NCMF has announced their plans to keep the party going with a slew of stacked after parties.

On Friday head to the Mid to see Snails and his intense, Slug-inspired Bass. Festival headliners Axwell^Ingrosso will be filling Prysym Nightclub with fist-pumping sounds after their headlining set at NCMF. Additional Friday throwdowns include Manic Focus Live Band at Concord Music Hall, Two Friends at Studio Paris and a local showcase called HometownHeroes at Bottom Lounge

Midway through the weekend, NCMF unleashes massive afters including festival players RL Grime and Cashmere Cat at the Mid for what sure is to be traptastic evening. Supergroup Breaking Biscuits (compiled of members of Break Science and Disco Biscuits) will be taking Coasties on a  jamtronic ride at Concord Music Hall. Saturday night also hosts NCMF #Riffwars at Bottom Lounge which brings together members of Vulfpeck, Jamiroquai, Tauk and more for a night of mind-blowing superjams.

NCMF organizers might have saved the best for last this year. While Sunday inside the festival sees the much-anticipated return of Jamiroquai, the after parties slated for the final day are just as enticing. Trap mega men Yellow Claw look to tear the roof off of Prysym. Another amazing supergroup will be taking over Concord Music Hall in the form of the Fearless Flyers which includes members from Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy, and Cory Wong.

Find electronic dance vibes at the Mid with The Midnight and Maddy O' Neal. However, what might be one of the most unexpected additions to this year's festival is the return of the local EDM powerhouse Midnight Conspiracy. They will be closing out Sunday on North Coast's side stage as well as bringing a crazy dance party to the Bottom Lounge afterward to close down the weekend.

Scattered throughout the inner city, these after shows allow a unique opportunity for fans to catch some of their favorite festival headliners in an intimate setting. With such a juicy lineup scheduled for this year's festival, attendees might get frustrated about overlapping sets. These carefully crafted after parties also allow an opportunity to catch artists you might have had to skip during the festival madness.

Both single and weekend passes are still available for North Coast Music Festival. These after parties have just been announced but expect to sell out quickly. Don't miss out on an opportunity to close out summertime with a bang at NCMF!
