One of California's most anticipated and immersive music festivals, Lightning In a Bottle (LIB), is fast approaching! Since 2004, LIB has evolved quite a bit but has consistently delivered a top-quality festival experience to the Central Coast of California, and this year should be no different.
Lightning in a Bottle is a transformational festival that currently resides in Bradley, CA's San Antonio Reservoir Recreation Area, an expansive and beautiful preserve in Monterey County. LIB 2018 will take place over Memorial Day weekend, beginning Wednesday, May 23rd (Early Arrival) and concluding Monday the 28th. Just enough time to really soak in everything this festival has to offer.
As far as some of the many extras LIB has to offer, the Big Art Installation lineup was just released, bolstered by over 150 informative talks, hands-on workshops, dinners, activities like soapbox races and Muddy 5k, and more. The "funegineers" at The Do Lab (some of California's most well-known concert curators) primary focus is on creating an interactive experience that keeps festival-goer immersed in a world of new friends, amazing sights and music, all taking place in an enchanting environment. One of this year's theme is based on psychedelic studies like plant medicine and psychedelic science and culture. Should be quite the sight.
When it comes to music, the Lighting In a Bottle lineup of djs, bands, artists, performers, healers, and speakers is off the charts in terms of variety and quality. As it stands, the LIB 2018 lineup features ZHU, MK, Beats Antique (volunteer-sourced orchestra performance), Tipper, GRiZ, the Black Madonna, Modeselektor, Nicole Moudaber, and dozens more musical acts! There's no doubt that attendees will experience sounds familiar and foreign to them as they embark on this sonic journey. Exploration of the broad, curated-scope of musicians is highly encouraged.
LIB tickets have not yet sold out, but with this much talent on the horizon, there's a chance they might. Jump on LIB 2018 tickets by clicking the link below.
