Nestled away on the blissful Black Sea coastline is Anaklia, a seaside resort and town in western Georgia. It is located in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region and boasts a lush green forest backdrop, secret stages and areas to explore so you will feel at one with nature as well as each other, and yourself.
Georgian cuisine is famously unique and varied. It is always very delicious and super fresh, locally sourced and regional. There are many great dishes to explore for meat, and veg, lovers, but top picks are khachapuri, a cheese stuffed fluffy pizza - pastry combo.
Echowaves only deals in the biggest and beats names form the very vanguard of the scene - Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock, Dax J, Claptone, Tom Trago, Red Axes, DJ Tennis, Rødhåd, KiNK live, Adriatique, Petre Inspirescu, Tijana T, Plaid Live, Boris, Valentino Kanzyani, Musumeci and Vril are some of the key talents appearing this year.
Georgia is progressive place with friendly people that have open minds, welcoming attitudes, and liberal views on LGBTQ+ communities, which is why dance music is so popular there. Recent protests outside the Bassiani club after is was raided by the government who were attempting to crack down on the liberal values of the scene in Tbilisi really proved this.
There really is nowhere else in the world like Georgia in terms of what it offers, from natural beauty to history, art and culture to dance music and food amongst much more. It is a very hot spot for walkers and backpackers from around the world thanks to its varied terrain and the festival itself will offer sports, physical activities, and various theatrical, cultural, social and educational events that explore this.
