Burning Spear @ Roseland Theater - Portland, OR

For the first time since 1991, roots reggae forefather and living legend Winston Rodney, AKA Burning Spear, spread the love in Portland, Oregon with the help of Double Tee Concerts and Soul'd Out Productions. Backed by a big band of talent, the Jamaican musical icon played through his career, skanking and shimmying even at 77 years young. The air in the packed Roseland Theater was sweet with thanks and praise, and maybe a little herbal sacrament.
