If there were ever an island to get stranded on, Treasure Island [Music Festival] taking place on October 19th and 20th would be the perfect one. As we count down the days, the San Francisco Bay area is holding on to an Indian summer while eagerly awaiting the festival’s intoxicating line-up.
Starting off the killer line-up, Giraffage plays on the Bridge Stage followed by Holy Ghost!, Major Lazer, Little Dragon, and Saturday’s headliner, Atoms for Peace. So you wont miss anything, the festival is happy to offer alternating time slots! The Tunnel Stage is also hosting a slough of amazing artists such as Robert DeLong, Poolside, Tricky, Phantogram and more.
Sunday will start at the Bridge Stage with Deep Sea Diver and close with allstar acts STRFKR, James Blake, and Animal Collective. On the Tunnel Stage we have Cayucas, Real Estate and Sleigh Bells, who are sure to keep your day rocking until the one and only, Beck, takes the Bridge Stage to close out the evening back on the island.
There will also be a “Silent Frisco” happening the whole weekend long featuring sets from Shouts!, DJ Dials, Motion Potion, Steffi Graff, Mancub and many more!
TIMF 2013 has paired up with a bunch of super groups like Workshop SF, Indie Shuffle and The Bay Bridged to bring you awesome festivities throughout the weekend. Find out how to get in on all the fun here.
After each day on the island and the days before the festival, try to make your way to San Francisco for the Treasure Island Music Festival Night Shows.
On Thursday night, get ready to get down with SF based Thao and Get Down, Stay Down at the California Academy of Sciences. On Friday at the Independent, Portland’s 11-piece group, Typhoon, takes over the stage and will sharing it with Wild Ones. On Saturday night, 1-800-DINOSAUR will rage the Mezzanine. On the ones and twos we have James Blake, Dan Foat and Airhead’s musical collaboration to keep the Treasure Island vibe alive all night long.
To close out the weekend, Ray-Ban, Boiler Room and TIMF 2013 are teaming up to host an exclusive night of festivities. The legendary Madlib and many other special guests will host this RSVP only event from 10pm-3am.
