GRiZ n’ Friends are About to Get Freaky in Chicago

by on

On October 25th and October 26th the artist formally known as GRiZ and an array of top-notch performers in the EDM scene are set to play for the masses during Freaky Deaky V. React Presents and Silver Wrapper have teamed up with the bosses of artist and public relations, Magnum PR, to take on the challenge to bring fans a collaboration of bass, visuals, and some of the most scandalous costumes in all the land!  Chicago’s famous Aragon Ballroom will be hosting the 2-night event that is sure to be the freakiest production in the city this Halloween “freak-end.”

Teaming up with GRiZ on Friday night are the ever-so-talented TOKiMONSTAKill Paris, Porn & Chicken, and hip-hop king Danny Brown.  All of the performers have their own style niche within the genres they are active in.  Unique performances won’t be the only part of Freaky Deaky that you won’t see anywhere else; costumes, costumes, and more costumes will be flowing through the Aragon like the frigid air flowing through the streets of Chicago.  In addition to GRiZ n’ friends on Friday night, the second night will be jam-packed with freaky fun as Dada Life plans to be welcomed to the Guinness Book of World Records by having the world’s largest pillow fight.  Along with Dada Life’s attempt to make history the digital minions also going to rage face that night include Clockwork, Henry Fong, Craze, Caveat and Dotexe.

GRiZ, aka Grant Kwiecinski, is just a mere 23 years-old and has made remarkable strides in the last year to propel his name to the top when it comes to successful electronic musicians.  He stands alone in many cases, not only because of the music he creates, but the method in which he creates them. Unlike many artists in the EDM scene, GRiZ uses a saxophone and computer when he takes to the stage and the studio. From the world famous Lollapalooza to more intimate festivals like Summer Set and Movement Electronic Music Festival, he has toured all over the festival circuit over the last year or so with his ill sounds and sax.

In addition to spreading his sounds on stages at festivals near and far, GRiZ has also been releasing new music on a consistent basis, as well as launching new videos.  His new album Rebel Era is not only a electronic masterpiece, it is available online for no cost at all.  Along with electronic moguls like Pretty Lights and Gramatik, GRiZ gives his music away for free to help circulate his musical art form within society.  The man also has a hit side project with Gramatik, appropriately named Grizmatik.

Between making music, going on tour, working on his side projects, and living the rockstar dream, young GRiZ is juggling the elements of being a successful musician like an old pro.  So If you haven’t gotten your ticket to Freaky Deaky V, do yourself a favor and jump on it before it sells out!  On top of GRiZ and a slough of raw talent also performing, tickets are going for a steal at only $29.  Oh yeah, if you’re looking to get down with beautiful people dressed to the nines in some of the most creative gear of the year, Freaky Deaky V has got that, too!
