Eric Prydz Set to Electrify Chicago with Swarms of Holograms During EPIC 2.0 Show

by on

Critically acclaimed Swedish DJ, Eric Prydz, will be bringing his brand-new EPIC 2.0 show to the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago this Friday night, November 29th.  The show is destine to be like no other; literally, because on this tour, all of his shows will be played live and fully improvised.  The performance is constructed of three main components aside from the amazing audio composed by Eric: LED animations, lasers, and 3D holograms.  That’s right, I said it, holograms!

Controlling and mapping out the components used in this digital masterpiece will be a daunting task itself, however, mastering these raw factors live on the spot is a whole different ballgame.  Perhaps that’s what makes each show on the EPIC 2.0 tour so special; each rendition will not be replicated and once it’s over, it’s over (so don’t wait to get tickets!).  Eric played a similar tour in 2011, yet all the performances were in the UK and were not as detailed.  This will be the first time the US gets to see such a spectacle from the master DJ and his team of gifted lighting technicians.

In addition to his current tour that stems from New York to L.A. (which is where Eric now resides), Eric and his team have played for festivals like HARD’s Day of the Dead and TomorrowLand in Belgium.  Time after time, they seem to amaze everyone they perform for.

When discussing EPIC 2.0 on his website, Eric stated, I wanted a new show that expressed my music in a visual context. I want to push the boundaries of a live electronic music show with technology that hasn’t been used before and to give my fans an experience that they will never forget.”

If you haven’t gotten the gist yet, EPIC 2.0 is an event you don’t want to miss!
