Countdown to Wakarusa

Starting the 30th of May to the 2nd of June, Wakarusa and Grassroots invites all to attend their 10th annual music festival. Wakarusa is known for their incredibly beautiful and humble festival grounds located on Mulberry Mountain Ozark, AR. With some of the most beautiful people, festival scenery, and overall atmosphere, this euphoric event will be one for the ages and will not be easily forgotten. As seen in previous years there are many breathtaking Headliners playing this summer at Wakarusa. Some of them including: Widespread Panic, Dispatch, STS9, The Black Crowes, Umphrey’s McGee, Snoop Lion, Of Monsters and Men, and Amon Tobin. Wakarusa has music for everyone! With over 129 Performers, and 3 spectacular stages, music will be playing day and night. Along with the performing artists there are many other activities for all.

With ferris wheels, waterslides, hiking, and yoga, to painting, drum circles, disc golf, and fishing attendees are assured to be entertained. Waka also offers many parades, contests, and classes. Friday night of the festival there will be a large parade followed by a bizarre and intriguing costume contest, sponsored by Technaflora. To enter, sport your wild costume all day Friday, and undercover Waka Staff will be hunting for their finalists. Everyone is welcome to take part in the Costume Parade that will be ushered by The VibeTribe. Daily yoga will be offered each morning to all from 8-10 am at the Satellite stage. Waka’s hula-hooping workshops “Hoop and Flow”, are offered for individuals and partners located at the Satellite stage from 10:30-11:30am daily. Festival wide the community participates in daily dress up themes. Thursday – Underwater Fun in the Sun, Friday – The Waka Masquerade, Saturday – Purple, and Sunday – Mother Nature and Father Time say Goodbye. NEW this year there will be a Disc Golf tournament, organized and hosted by Daniel Roulet. Not to mention the endless Rhythm Workshops, Unified Field Theory talks, Interactive art, and Shopping!

Ticket sales are going quickly thus be sure to get your full festival pass. All early bird pass deals are now over, but don’t be discouraged, the Full Festival Pass is now $184 per person. Individual day passes are also available from $149 for a three-day pass, and $119 for a two-day pass. In addition to your personal Festival Pass, one camping pass must also be purchased for each car planning to park and camp inside the festival grounds. Hurry and get your camping pass, because all camping tickets are sold out besides the “Riverside” camping. Riverside camping tickets are now $29, and you will be located 3 miles south of the main festival venue. Riverside camping also includes 24/7 shuttle buses to escort you to and from the main grounds. There are also other special tickets options including VIP tickets/camping, along with RV campsites, and handicap accessible options.
